Please note this the livestreamed version of this class. Fun. Strong. Empowering. This class blends the mindfulness of yoga with HIIT (high-intensity interval training). Yoga HIIT fusion is a mixture of vinyasa yoga and high intensity interval training, a workout that is scientifically proven to be effective by building strength and burning calories in the least amount of time. HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) involves reps of exercises to work targeted areas of the body. In this fusion many of the moves are taken from yoga asana and adapted for safe alignment in HIIT. The HIIT segment of the class picks up your heart rate and activates fast twitch muscle fibers to help to tone and sculpt the body. Yoga compliments the HIIT workout with a targeted flow sequence to warm up and cool down. Build stronger bones and muscles while gaining additional joint and muscle flexibility. This class includes a Tabata timing section (4 minute blocks of 20 seconds activity, 10 seconds rest, with 8 rounds in total). Tabata timing is shown to be most efficient for getting all the benefits of HIIT in the least amount of time. Expect to work hard and have fun; this class will get the blood pumping — so you leave feeling energised and invigorated.
